Newcastle ‘s new billionaires are reportedly the first target to sign Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Tyneside club were taken over this week by PIF. the representing the Saudi conglomerate. In a deal worth 300 million pounds.
According to reports from Football Insider and SunSport, one of Newcastle ‘s January market targets will be Koulibaly.
This is not the first time the Senegal international centre-back has been linked with Premier League clubs. Including Manchester United, Chelsea, Everton and Manchester City, who failed to reach a deal for Napoli’s asking price.
Koulibaly used to be worth €100 million. But it has dropped a lot lately. with approximately 60 million euros
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has made it clear. He is ready to sell Koulibaly in the summer. But there are no favorable offers.
The Magpies are also ready to sack Steve Bruce, with Antonio Conte, Graham Potter and Steven Gerrard being linked.
But he is regarded as capable of being prised from Napoli. As his contract there expires in the summer of 2023.
It was reported by the Mail last year that Napoli valued their prize asset at £89million amid interest from the likes of Man United.
However, his price has now tumbled from that high point. So he can lure from Italy for a far smaller fee.
Koulibaly was also a target for Everton earlier this year. Before their spending was reined in by financial fair play restrictions. According to reports by ufabet
